Contestant: Annalisa Badu
I entered this pageant because I want to be able to help young girls all over the world, build self-esteem and learn to appreciate and love themselves. As well, I would like to make a positive change in my community through charity work.
As a pageant contestant I hope to gain a rewarding experience not only from participating in the pageant but also from interacting with the local community.
Contestant: Felicity Amoah
The reason I entered the pageant is because I had very low esteem and I’m a very shy person, so entering this pageant made me build up my self-confidence, appreciate myself, be more involved in the community. I also want young girls/ladies to look up to me and say “Hey, if she could do it then I can” Because EVERYTHING IN THIS WORLD IS POSSIBLE IF YOU PUT YOUR MIND IN TO IT.
Contestant: Sherssery Anum
My name is Sherssery Anum and I am 17 years old. I joined this pageant because first of all I’m a very shy person and I’m afraid of public speaking so I’m hoping that this pageant will help me. I also joined this pageant because I want to be a role model to young women and help them stand out in whatever they do. I want to inspire them end encourage them to fight for what they believe in and not to be brought down by negative critics. I also want them to know that being black is not a curse but that being black is a beautiful thing and that we shouldn’t be ashamed of where we come from. For us African-American women we have come too far along to give up.
Contestant: Peggy Agyei Baffour
The reason why I entered this pageant was to broaden my horizons in the entertainment business and help re-build character. I wish to acquire the ability to work towards my goal of being a legal advisor / TV host. With the pageant I believe I will be able to use that as an advantage and be involved in the Ghanaian Community in a positive way
Contestant: Isabelle Gbekie
Why did You Enter The Pageant?
A: I entered the pageant Ghana’s Most Beautiful Canada 2013 for a number of reasons. One of them being that I knew it would be an amazing experience and an opportunity for self-development. It would help me achieve my aim of strengthening the young female Diaspora and ensure that they’re self image is strong, as well as their morals and standards.
What Do You Hope To Get From This?
A:With this pageant, I am in hopes that it allows me to initiate my vision of me becoming an advocate for young Ghanaian girls, not only in our community but in our country as well. I believe that we need to educate our young female generation, to have a strong sense of empowerment, so that they can take on leadership roles in the community.
I would also like to gain a sense of self-development through the mentorship’s and events that are offered through the pageant. It is so important that we tackle the issues in our Diaspora, and really bond and come together as one.
Hello, my name is Cecilia and I’m representing the Central Region of Ghana. I entered this pageant because I wanted to have fun, get to know what a pageant looks like and the efforts and commitment you put in this pageant. Also, I joined this pageant because I want other young beautiful girls like me to join this pageant and experience it and not to give up on their dreams. I hope that I learn a lot from all the work I have done since day 1 of the pageant till July 27th. Secondly, I hope that I get to give advices on my pageant experience to the other future pageants contestants on what to do and how to be committed and sacrificing.

I joined GHMB Canada because I believe in the organization and its values. Being crowned as Miss Platinum Plus International, I myself understand the need to mentorship other women and try to make a difference within the community and beyond. Whether you win or not the social skills, relationships and opportunities that will be presented after being in GHMB are amazing. To stand firm as a Ghanaian Canadian woman and represent both here and in Canada can also inspire other young to take charge in there and make a difference. The GHMB pageant speaks volume through its mandate and how a woman should represent herself and try to make a difference within the community

I decided to involve myself in the organizing of the pageant as a way to help mentor and train the contestants. I wanted to offer some of my skills in hopes to better prepare them to potentially win the crown. I myself wanted to join the pageant a few years ago but due to geographical circumstances could not. I see myself in many of the young women that have taken the plunge and initiative to put themselves out there and find myself vicariously living through their experiences. I only hope that my life experiences will only better their experience in their journey of being a pageant contestant and that with the help of our amazing team that we will be able to provide them the guidance to be great future leaders.
Crew Member: Manager and 1st Ghana’s Most Beautiful Canada 2010 Nicole Bortsi
Ghana’s Most Beautiful Canada is an organization established to empower, strengthen, encourage, and inspire young Ghanaian ladies using their beauty, assets, and ambitions. I am a product of Ghana’s Most Beautiful Canada and their success.
As first Queen of Ghana’s Most Beautiful, I have made a decision to continue making a positive impact within my community by assisting on the protocol team for this organization. In doing so, I consider myself a pioneer within the building of this organization.
As the current operating manager of Ghana’s Most Beautiful Canada, my role is to initiate and conduct follow up conversations from the owner, Constance Wunibee, and communicate towards the participants of the pageant; as well as to communicate to and from business proprietors, sponsors, and other third parties in relation to the pageant.
Furthermore, my role within management is to delegate duties to other coordinators within the pageant if necessary, and/ or to facilitate all emails towards and from the organization.
Model, Pageant Coordinator, Ghana’s Most Beautiful 2010 3rd Runner – Up: Elizabeth Obeng
As a former Contestant of Ghana’s Most Beautiful Canada 2010, I came to a realization that this pageant had actually helped me and groomed me to become a better woman. A woman who knows that once you put your mind to something it can always be achieved. At the time I didn’t know what the pageant could have done for my life but as time passed I came to notice that it had done a lot for me. It opened many doors and built my self-confidence and self-esteem to a much better level.
As the new Pageant Coordinator I hope to bring something new and exciting to the pageant, new contestants and to the young women of our Society. I joined this pageant because I believe in the vision and goal of the organization and organizers, I believe that this organization will uplift and encourage the young women of our community as well as the youth and adults. It is a journey that I believe all should embark upon to meet new people and to learn more about the Ghanaian and African culture.
WHY DID YOU JOIN THE CREW of GhMBC? I joined the Ghana’s Most Beautiful Canada team because I was intrigued by the purpose of this pageant. To build young women into confident, strong leaders who seek to help improve the Ghanian community. Not only in Canada but back in our homeland. HOW DO YOU THINK A PAGEANT WILL HAVE AN IMPACT ON THE YOUNG WOMEN PARTICIPATING? For many of the girls this will help build there self esteem, and give them the voice they never know they had. These ladies will become leaders and be great contributors to the growth of Ghana and our people.
